The program comes with a number of texts or teachers can create their own. The text appears with symbols replacing some of the most common letters. Pupils are given clues to solve to guess missing letters and then type them in, with correct answers gaining points and bonuses. A really easy to use program which highlights words that are incorrectly spelt or over-used, then links to the dictionary and thesaurus allowing alternative words to be selected. The product offers the opportunity for children to see the use of a dictionary and thesaurus modelled and allows them to share the experience of using these books appropriately. It contains both modern and historial maps, census data, satellite images and aerial photographs. The Dolphin System website delivers a peer-to-peer ICT skills-learning initiative that has many good aspects. The system boosts progress in ICT above and beyond normal expectations, if the school is behind it wholeheartedly. Pupils are required to take more responsibility for their learning, and differentiation is through speed of progress. After using this website, pupils will use computers to apply ICT skills in other subjects. The online system is currently growing, and if completed, this website has the potential to make time spent on computers in schools much more worthwhile.

This online resource is aimed at children aged 7-11 years and is intended to promote discussion about the issue of bullying through coercion. Two video clips show different ways of dealing with a situation in which someone is under pressure to smoke. Each clip is then followed by a multiple-choice quiz. The site is easy to access and use and although useful as a classroom resource for PSHE and Citizenship, is not exhaustive in the areas that it covers.
