I used this website with Years 7–9, working on various aspects of British history. After an initial demonstration of some of the features of the website, I instructed the students to find particular information. I tested the knowledge that each student had gained by using the questions and answers that are contained in each section of the website. The final piece of work that was produced as a result of the research carried out was then assessed in a traditional way. Follow-up lessons still used the website to refer back to data collected earlier, and pupils were instructed to use this site as an electronic form of textbook for the remainder of the course, rather than as a resource to be used once and then abandoned.
