Assignment Photo Movie is a title that offers the opportunity to produce work with a professional appearance using digital stills pictures from a variety of sources. It is possible to import other material to be displayed and to use music and record speech to enhance the finished product.The website offers clear tutorials to support a movie's production together with links to teacher's notes, writing script support and necessary downloads.This would be a very valuable addition to a teacher's repertoire as it can be used across the curriculum with a wide range of ages and abilities.

I used Assignment: Photo Movie with a class of Year 6 pupils to provide reinforcement, extension and an altenative outcome for the multimedia skills they had already acquired using PowerPoint. It is suitable as a tool for the teacher to use with a group or class via an interactive whiteboard and provides an excellent means of providing a professional, film-like quality to their work. Headphones and microphones are an essential ingredient in its use. Pupils were highly motivated by using the program and keen to return to it in the future. Unbelievably, this is a free website and I certainly intend to make use of it, and several other features that I have noted on the main BT Education website, in my future teaching.
