The Adobe School Collection enables schools to include digital imaging and video editing in a wide range of subject settings at Key Stage 3 as well as within Art and Design. By including Photoshop and Premiere within the collection, the publisher is offering schools the chance to introduce students to packages widely used in industry and the home. The collection features an excellent resources CD-ROM which will help schools plan how to integrate ICT across the Curriculum in order to use these programs to maximum effect. Support for the learner is excellent and is presented as tutorial books, onscreen activities, web-based Help and an online discussion forum. This is an outstanding collection that should appeal to all students.

The students used the software to produce a six-slide 'All About Me' presentation, using ClipArt, scanned images and digital photos. The students were extremely positive in their use of this software and spent several lunchtime sessions to develop their work. It fitted in nicely with the Presentation unit and certainly developed the speed at which some students worked in order to ensure that they got a chance to use it. Photo-montages were extremely popular and students got very involved in choosing suitable images. A second task has now been started in PSHE to consider the school community.
