KS2 Content Evaluation

2Calculate says its 'a great way to improve Mathematics learning at KS1 and 2.' It also states that it 'offers the same power as a basic spreadsheet but avoids the complexities of spreadsheet formulas.' I say 'what a cracking piece of software, every school should invest in it.' It's very easy to use for both student and teacher alike and is aimed at Reception to Year 6 children. Onscreen exercises and activities are excellent and the whole program is very user friendly. 2Calculate is great for maths starters, main teaching and investigations, and will be just as useful in ICT and Science too. Until now, spreadsheets have not been the easiest of things to deliver but this program changes all that. Before I undertook this review, my school had received a copy of 2Calculate on approval. We had it less than a week before we decided to purchase the network version. Need I say any more...

KS2 Classroom Evaluation

The program was used to examine and explore patterns and number sequences.After using the program with the whole class, pupils worked in pairs to carry out appropriate activities. The program engaged and challenged the pupils. It encouraged them to learn in a visual manner and really think about the calculation processes being carried out.
