This site provides research facilities about Hannukah on a limited number of pages. There are no links to other sites so there is no danger of pupils getting 'lost'. It would enable pupils to research many aspects of Hannukah for themselves in an interesting and motivating way. The sound features are a strong point for this site, as I don't think many teachers are fluent in Hebrew (I know I'm not!) and hearing songs and blessings in a different language adds to the experience.

I often find teaching RE difficult, but this lesson was much enjoyed by the class and teacher! Using ICT skills helped make this an enjoyable lesson where pupils made considerable progress in their understanding. The motivation of using the Internet, together with the multi-sensual approach of this site was highly beneficial to pupils' learning.
