This is an outstandingly useful program for the classroom and suitable for students of all abilities and ages because of the way in which the features can be customised. It is almost limitless in its possibilities for educational use, starting as a simple graphics tool to illustrate stories or create individual pictures. However, it can be taken much further and used to create illustrated sequences such as storyboards or animations, or to illustrate projects, write notes or draw mindmaps. It has the advantage of being quick to use: the work screen loads instantly and all the main artists' tools are immediately available from here. The only problem for the teacher will be getting the pupils off the program once they have started! Read KS3 evaluation... |

The interface is easy to use and customising it to suit the ability of the user is one of the best features of the package. The package also has the ability to tie in with Control work due to its compatibility with LOGO. Revelation Natural Art is designed with education in mind. Read KS4 evaluation... |

After a couple of demonstration sessions with a 'play' session in between, the pupils were asked to paint a picture of the sea shell they had been given. Each pupil worked separately on their computer. For the next lesson the pupils were given a fir cone. They saw a demonstration of how to use various other tools to create a pattern which could be squashed to look like a cone. An additional demonstration had already been prepared using Turbo Demo to aid those pupils who had forgotten the process. Read KS3 evaluation... |
